Welcome to my homepage!

My name is Anke Finkbeiner and I am an enthusiastic encaustic artist!

I am delighted to have the opportunity to share my pictures and my love for this wonderful art form with others on this platform, and I would be particularly pleased if some of you also enjoy it, are inspired by it or even get new ideas from it.

Encaustic painting is extremely versatile, as the works depend on the painting surface on which they are created and the tools and other design elements used. This results in a multitude of combinations. Unique pieces can be created in sizes ranging from postcard to A2 format. But also other items such as bookmarks, matchboxes, Easter eggs, tea caddies, etc.

I have tried to design my picture galleries in such a way that the size and date of creation (month-year) and, in my opinion, the most important information (what can be seen and how it was made) are recognisable in the title. Since most of the works use ‘specially compacted painting cardboard’ as the painting surface and ‘painting irons’ as the painting tool, these are not explicitly mentioned.
