As a child and teenager, I loved art as a subject and have always enjoyed being very creative. However, my talent wasn’t so strong that I would have pursued it further after school. But I still enjoy observing and photographing the beauty of nature immensely, and I still do.
I heard about encaustic painting in the fall of 2012 and had my first experiences with it. I was fascinated by the fact that you don’t have to know how to paint. And that’s true – if you can get involved and allow what emerges.
Since then, I have repeatedly attended courses over the years and painted with great enthusiasm. Soon, I also started looking for books, DVDs, and videos on the subject online. What countless possibilities opened up for me! Over time, I became bolder and tried new things, developing my own style. I now experience nature and my surroundings in a completely new and different way. I look at these from the perspective of painting and how I can implement them with encaustic.
For me, painting is the best way to relax and forget everything around me. I immerse myself in a completely different world and am continually amazed by what emerges and develops, and in the end, I’m simply filled with happiness. Again and again…
