A palette knife is a real craft! It’s especially useful on a painting board, and of course, especially on specially compacted cardboard, for applying or shifting colors across large areas. Palette knives (available in various widths) can be used to beautifully create backgrounds, patterns, and entire pictures. They’re especially suitable for abstract paintings.
